Creepy Animated Graffitti

You have to admit this is some really cool, but creepy graffitti animation. This is the kind of posting the readers of WU could help go viral even though it's two years old. Forward to everyone you know, and let's see if we can't get the creepy man-headed spider to fill the screens across the world!!

Don't you hate it when you open the door to your stomach and someone else crawls out?

Can’t Bear The Heat

Market place Foods in Hayward, Wisconsin had an interesting visitor Friday night. A 125 pound black bear sauntered in the automatic doors and through the store to the liquor cooler. No, he did not want a cold one, just a cool place. The bear entered the cooler and climbed up on a 12 foot high shelf. He stayed there, just chillin', for an hour while the store was evacuated and the authorities were called. Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources tranquilized the animal and removed it. That will liven up a mundane trip to the grocery store!

Cyber-pigeon!

In this photo from the Life archives, we see a 1962 experiment involving the affixing of goggles to a pigeon to learn more about its vision.

Please be sure to magnify the photo for full horrifying effect.

Monsters - Do Not Enter

I don't know why it is so funny to hear little mouths say naughty words, but this one always makes me laugh out loud!!

Make sure you teach your kids the right words, but record it for posterity before you make the correction.

Deceased Gentleman Mistaken for Halloween Decor

Here's a case of tragic timing that has been making the news rounds

It's actually a bit of sad situation. Neighbors thought the body was a decoration for Halloween, and it sat on the balcony for several days.

You can read about it from AOL News, LA Times and a few other sources. LA Times piece has a photo of the building.

I Brought You Into This World…

...and I'll take you out! Who hasn't heard of this joking phrase often attributed to exasperated parents. Well, an 83 year old San Antonio man must have meant it even if he didn't say it. Early Friday morning, after his 50 year old son refused to stop playing drums Dad shot him. The son was grazed on the head by the bullet and ran up the street to call for help. If at 50 you are going to still live with a parent then it is advisable to follow house rules. The elderly man was charged with aggravated assault but when he gets out I bet Junior will listen next time dad says to stop that noise.

Animated Graffiti from Belguim

Hours of work went into this graffiti, and more hours were spent filming this sequence. This is an excellent animation when it speeds up. I wish I had the time or the talent to do either.

There has to be a way to channel all this time and energy -- any suggestions? Perhaps a regular recurring theme for each rail line?

Green Discount

Everyone is getting on the 'green' bandwagon. In Germany prostitution is legal but, as with most businesses, even the oldest profession is suffering due to the economic downturn. One brothel in Berlin has offered a discount to it's green conscious customers. Anyone arriving with proof of having used public transportation or a bicycle lock key to show they rode a bicycle there gets a 5 euro or $7.50 discount on their purchase of service. According to Thomas Goetz, owner of Maison 'd Envie (House of Desire), the offer has boosted the waining business. Goetz's discount is better thought out than another area brothel. The other business offered a flat rate for unlimited time and was force by officials to rescind the offer due to worker's rights issues. In Germany prostitutes have the same rights and benefits as other professions. Check out the story- http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/environment/2009-10-16-brothel_N.htm
