Dean Jones, Singer
Like Shatner, Nimoy and other actors, well-known Disney star Dean Jones fancied himself a singer as well. The opening bellow of this first track reminds me faintly of Jim Morrison.
What do you all think of his talents in this arena?

The TomTato
There's such a thing as a TomTato, which is a hybrid of a tomato and potato plant. It grows tomatoes above ground, and potatoes below. It was developed by horticulturists Thompson and Morgan. From their website:I told my wife about this and she still refuses to believe that it's real. But it is.... I think.

The School House
I can just hear the executives at Dumont now, probably the owner's son: "You know what would be clever and sexy and hip? A variety show framed in a classroom setting, with all the performers dressed like students, and featuring two of our biggest nebbishes, Arnold Stang and Wally Cox!"
And thus was THE SCHOOL HOUSE born.

Fog Vodka
California distillery, Hangar 1, is now selling a vodka made out of genuine San Francisco fog. They're calling it Fog Point.They use mesh fog catchers to trap moisture and then blend this with vodka distilled from a California Central Coast wine. They describe the result as "an extraordinarily crisp, pure, and gluten free sipping vodka with elegant hints of pear, citrus, and honeysuckle." The price tag is $125 a bottle.
Perhaps their next effort can be a vodka made from the tears of a hipster.

Penny Payer
Brett Sanders recently did his part to "end the police state" by paying his $222.60 speeding fine with pennies.Of course, paying a fine with pennies isn't unusual, but Sanders filmed himself paying the fine, so the entire world gets to witness his elaborate preparations.
It's not clear to me if the municipal court accepted the payment. It has the right to demand that the pennies be in rolls.... which is a detail that penny payers, while crafting their revenge schemes, often overlook.
