In 1952, a schizophrenic with an eccentric theory of physics murdered a random person.“Have they dropped the electronic theory?” he asked her.
“I don’t know anything about it,” she replied.
Before she could say more, he fired the gun at her.
“I just wanted to kill somebody,” he told police. “I was going to shoot anybody. It was my book. They wouldn't look at my book. They wouldn't even look at it."
Peakes had done the calculus: Shooting people gets you in the papers. And if you shoot physicists because they rejected your theory, your theory gets in the papers.

Coffin Chairs
London-based "Chairbox Design" has come out with what it calls "The Last Shift Office Chair." It's a coffin chair.I don't think this is a product one can buy. Instead it seems to be a mock-up to make the point that sitting all day in offices is killing people.
Though if they aren't for sale, they should be. They'd be perfect for funeral homes, or vampires.
Coffin-shaped furniture is becoming a recurring theme. We've previously posted about the Coffin Cradle and the Coffin Bed.

We've previously posted about the 1951 case of Edward Harrison who accidentally killed himself when he swung his golf club against the golf cart in anger.Below are two more examples of the same phenomenon.

Bees told of Queen Elizabeth’s Death
Royal housekeeper John Chapple has carried out the duty of telling the bees kept at Buckingham Palace and Clarence House that Queen Elizabeth has died, and that King Charles is their new master."You knock on each hive and say, 'The mistress is dead, but don't you go. Your master will be a good master to you.'"
This was in accordance with the ancient British custom of "telling the bees," which we described in a post back in 2012.
