Motor Patrol
For those of you who are wondering about the possible ancestors of the famed TV show CHiPs--and there must be at least six of you--here comes the 1950 film MOTOR PATROL. I watched it recently, and it's not as goofy as many cheap films of this era. But the fact that ninety percent of the action and intrigue does NOT involve motorcycles has to count for something.Isn't that fellow in the white suit really channelling Clark Gable pretty badly?

Bollywood Numerology
Some examples of Bollywood film names: Heyy Babyy, Singh is Kinng, Krazzy 4, Karzzzz, A Love Issshtory.Notice the strange spellings? It's not just variant Indian spellings. It's numerology. Apparently Bollywood directors swear by it. From the Deccan Herald:
The upcoming ‘Maan Gaye Mughall-E-Azam’, starring Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat, has recently been respelled after the director consulted a numerologist. Even a director like Ashutosh Gowariker added an extra ‘a’ in ‘Jodhaa Akbar’.
In other news, we've decided to change the name of Weird Universe to Weirrrdd Universe.

Fantomas
We are approaching, in 2011, the one-hundredth anniversary of the creation of Fantomas, villianous antihero adored by the French. But something about Fantomas just doesn't translate to American tastes, and he's never been popular here.Somehow I don't think this trailer from Fantomas's 1964 self-titled film will help win over the US audience.

Remember one of the weirdest films ever made, REPO MAN? This month marks the start of filming for a sequel titled REPO CHICK. Let's hope it can live up to its predecessor.

The Force Trainer
The Force Trainer, coming out later this year from Uncle Milton toys, reads your brain activity via a wireless headset, and then translates your brain waves into physical action. Namely, it activates a fan which raises or lowers a ball inside a tube.Boring! They've gone with the wrong movie. If they were coming out with the Stephen King Firestarter Trainer, that would have been interesting.
At the very least, they should have included the ability to activate Jedi Force Lightning.

Worst. Spy Movie. Ever.
1) Incoherent script.2) Lame humor.
3) No chemistry between Peck and Loren.
4) Primary villain looks like Peter Sellers as Inspector Clousseau.
5) Sophia Loren as an Arab.
6) Gregory Peck takes a psychedelic trip on a bicycle.
7) Secondary villain uses term "daddy-o" excessively.
8) Poison eyedrops.

Death Laid an Egg
I've never seen this movie, but the plot summary sounds promising:It was released in Italy in 1968 as Morte ha fatto l'uovo and in the US as Death Laid an Egg. Looks like the soundtrack is available on Amazon, but not the movie itself. The trailer is on YouTube:
