Happy 12-13-14 Day!

USA Today notes that we don't get another sequential calendar day for 20 years, when we'll arrive at 1-2-34 day.

Sorry, BD but it's the Japanese that have it right YYYY-MM-DD because then it sorts correctly without a batch of extra code to slow things down!

The USSR (and their ilk) had/have a system of assigning ID numbers to their citizens (not to be confused with the US's use of the SSAN [which has very little to do with the SSA]) by issuing them the the date and the serial # of the birth for that date! It looks like this YYYYMMDD00000

In the Mid-1970's, Canada was adopting the metric system. The two hosts of a local radio phone-in talk show had the topic on metric vs. imperial for the day. They gave the time and date updates in metric saying it would be the law in two years!

Quite a few angry people didn't realize it was April 1. :coolhmm:

I know it might extend the argument but, I heard it would be 89 years till we had another date like this on 01/02/03, see no dual formats! :lol: :coolsmile:
