Years and years ago, when Louisiana started the state lottery, my friend's dad, along with some coworkers, collected all the winning numbers over several months and ran it through some program to generate a list of the most likely numbers to get picked. Out of a list of 1000 possible combinations they picked 100. Supposedly, 1 of the combos they didn't pick actually came up that Saturday for the drawing.
Of course, I was told by someone other than my friend's dad so the whole story may just be an urban myth.
