A lot of the music y'all present here is likely to send a listener running screaming into the night. But this presentation just proves there's no wrong way to do Bach.

Bach himself often rearranged his own or others' music (he loved Vivaldi!) for other instruments. I'm quite certain he would have loved this to bits. And so do I.

(And yeah, @Yudith, you're right: if you do Bach right, it's always jazzy!)

Having now listened to the entire thing... this is wonderful! The koto at times sounds just like a harpsichord - and what dexterous fingers its player has at times. And the shakuhachi hits just the right timbre for Bach. All of it simply fits into the music. Thank you, Paul, for posting this. I really, really enjoyed it.
