Another Hot Dog In The News

How about a more reliable weird hot dog story? Last September a guy attending a Kansas City Royals baseball game at Kauffman Stadium was injured by a flying hot dog. At the September 8th game Slugerrr, the K.C. Royals mascot, threw a hot dog at the stands and it struck John Coomer in the eye. He's now suing the team for $25,000 for the injuries he sustained which included a detached retina and cataracts-OUCH.

when the moon hits your eye like a big hot dog. that doesn't work as well as 'a big pizza pie' but sluggerrr didn't throw pizza darn it. the dude has had 2 surgeries and his sight is permenetly impared from the blow. he obviously needs a better lawyer too, he's not suing for millions$$$$.

Fan goes to ball game in hopes of catching a ball. Instead he can't catch a hot-dog and he's still got the guts to sue? Can you spell C.O.J.O.H.E.S!

You spelled that wrong on purpose to be ironical, admit it 😉

if he's got that good of an arm maybe he should be on the team.

Actually, he only stands to make $24,997.50 since they'll no doubt deduct the cost of the hot-dog.

Thanks, Mario, if you ever need some Greek let me know. I can butcher that language in spades!

an injury can cause a cataract to form also. i knew a girl, from school, who had what appeared to be on blue eye and one brown eye. the eye that looked bluish was because of a cataract that had formed from an eye injury she received as a small child. actually it was 2 separate injuries to the same eye about a year apart. she only saw shadows and had pain with it to the point that she eventually had it removed and got a glass eye. now both eyes are brown.

jess they said the mascot turned and threw the hot dog behind him and it didn't go up into the stands as much as straight back to where the guy was sitting. so the strength sluggerrr put into the throw to send it up into the stands was the force the man's eye got hit with.

point taken sweetie. i thought it was a low figure for the injury stated too.
