That was better than I expected. My father and I are the thin ones in our family. My mother and siblings were / are overweight and have never successfully shed and maintained a lower weight level, so I can understand Ms. Gotochi's problem with societal expectations. I also thought of an interview with Anne Wilson of Heart, and her story of the battles she had with management's demands that she maintain a svelte appearance early in their career. She described it as pure torture.
