Catfish Hunting Pigeons On Shore

When these 3 to 5 foot catfish in France senses some motion on the shore, they have adapted their behavior to catch pigeons for dinner. They actually come onto the shore to get the birds. Here's a video of a successful catch.

According to the Public Library of Science, the fish have a 28 percent success rate, which is way better than any hunting or fishing I've ever done.

Here's the link to the story:

The video calls these catfish "The Freshwater Killer Whales".

That settles it. Noodlers are as dumb as birds.

Cat fish, at least those that come out of the Mississippi, aren't much good unless they're about 8 to 10 inches long. Smaller and they're not worth the trouble and much larger they just don't taste right. Those big cats that they're catching on TV just don't do much for me.

Shows just how much intelligence a pigeon has. They keep coming back to the same spot no matter how many are eaten.
