My uncle was from this era (served in both WWII and the Korean War). After he died a few years back and we were cleaning out his things, we were amazed at how much jewelry he had — cuff links, tie bars, tie tacks and the like.

Granted that the price for these were not all that expensive (approximately equal to $55.00 in current dollars.), I'm really curious as yo how one of these pieces has held up over the years - have the colors faded?

I mean... if I wore cuff-links at all... I have to admit, I'd find these nifty.

As it is, my only jewelry is the fountain pen in my breast pocket. Not even a wristwatch any more.
