Cold Outside
Where Fahrenheit and Celsius meet, -41 degrees, is the temperature folks were enduring on the second day of the new year in northern Ontario, Canada. One person decided to amuse themselves with the weather by shooting boiling water out of a super soaker into the frigid air. The effect is rather cool.

Strictly speaking it's -40 where Celsius and Fahrenheit are precisely the same.
And for some reason boiling water freezes faster than cold water at those temperatures, though i don't know the mechanism of why that is.
Also, that is pretty cool, remind me to do that when it gets that cold here (aka, when they can do that in hell as it will be frozen over)

The boiling water turns to steam with small particle size. This gives small mass with a high ratio of surface area exposed to the cold air.

ExPat, as long as you're bundled up, it's not horrid to be out. I would not be able to do so without a hat/hood and something over my nose, though, as this guy did. We have done this in years past; it is a cool (no pun intended) and interesting phenomenon. We are currently @ -13F/-31FWC, too, at nearly 10:00 a.m. I'll take this over foods, mudslides, earthquakes, and giant bugs any day, though.
