I have to play Devil's Advocate here. If there is to be any criticism of the music it's the cohesiveness, not the actual ability. Their music talent is very good as is their musical composition. I don't know about the lyrics, I can't understand them. But they're putting together musical phrases that don't work together. If these songs were dissected and the different phrases were used as main riffs of a song there would be far better cohesion. That being said, they seem to be a screamo band. If they're expressing their angst, disillusion with life and generally not fitting in, then these dissonant phrases are reflections of that.
Not all good music has met with critical acclaim and some music was never really recognized until after the bands have disbanded. What would the current music world look like with out people like Chuck Berry, Elvis, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, The Ramones, Black Sabbath, Joy Division, Kraftwerk and myriads of others who were either thought of as horrible or lewd and lascivious. It's quite possible that one day the next band to achieve stardom like Metallica is seeded in one of these bands.
Or they could be serving you lunch at McDonalds next week, but that's the fickle nature of music and fame.
