Do You Have Biblical Morals?

Apparently I don't. I got 0% on the quiz. But your results may vary. Sample question:

Two strangers visit your home, and you are kind enough to provide them with accommodations for the night. They tell you they are angels appearing on behalf of the Lord. However, later in the evening, an angry mob turns up seeking to sodomize your guests. Do you:
• Protect your guests and call the police.
• Expel your guests and call the police.
• Turn your preteen daughters over to the crowd to be raped.

Rampant mobs bent on sodomy. That takes me back...

100% for me...but I've studied the good book. IN fact I still read part sometimes. It's better than Mad Magazine.

patty - if I penned that it would have been worse.

Puterprsn - You forgot to mention tithe. Can't get rid of the church's revenue. God forbide!!!!

Funny thing is, in the Baptist church they used to always say "God's the same yesterday, today and tomorrow".

Mathew 21:18-21 I had to look it up. It's been many a decade since the Mo. Synod and I parted company.

Well considering that the Book's contents were voted on by a bunch of men who knows what was left out, mis-copied, wrongly translated, etc. before we get to today's versions.

Vern, the "Great Flood" theory is supported by more than just the bible and appears in other cultures' myths and teachings. Even science has weighed in on the side of a Pangaea "flood". And my order of gopher wood hasn't arrived yet and I'm getting anxious.

46% - God is pulling for you. Spend more time praying and less time thinking, and sacrifice some farm animals!
Was the question about the lobster dinner being ironic? I figured it was.

And I caught a fish TH--------------------------------IS big.

I agree Vern, taking the Book literally is foolhardy. But, then again, so is taking science 100%! REF: Found chunk of ice about the size of California that didn't get measuerd.

The canons of the old testament against certain foods makes good sense when applied to life in the desert without refrigeration.

"Fresh" isn't at issue. How long it stays fresh is. Pork spoils faster than you can shake a stick at it. Bad shellfish will kill you dead in a heartbeat. Good thing they'd not invented peanuts as I doubt anyone could train a dog to sniff them out back then.

Oh crap, does that mean I have to throw out all my silk & lace under-things?
Posted by Jules in Connecticut on 02/24/09 at 01:16 PM
Ok, I'll bow to some of that, Vern but rabbit is yet another critter that can kill you if you're not careful. And pork doesn't have to be spoiled to do it's damage. IIRC it's trichinosis. As far as dining on carrion eaters; I've never had a taste for vulture. 😉

Ok, count me in for the whole dancing round the bonfire bash..I scored a whopping 0%. This doesn't surprise me at all given my long standing aversion to religion in general..that said, I'm impressed with the knowledge that alot of you have concerning the bible 😊

I don't know BG, I think Maxx and KW would have dibs on all that first 😊 You might have to ask them...

I scored a 0%. I knew most of the "correct" answers but I couldn't bring myself to pick them. So you could say I had a moral dilemma over the biblical morals. Do I get points for that?

Hoo-RAH!!!! I saw this this morning, and just signed in again. 41 responses?! Be right back... I'm gettin' the popcorn for this one. Gonna be an entertaining evening!

Damn Patty, you give me a warm feeling in certain areas and you're not even here. 😉

The lobster thing is because they are scavengers. Anything that eats dead things is not Kosher.

You know what I meant Patty. 😏

Besides, i know I've "eaten" plenty of things that were alive. I could tell by the twitching and shuddering. 😉

Some of the other quizzes are neat. I just found out the greek god I am most like is Zeus. :cheese: Also, my occult power is healing. :cheese: Lastly, I will be consuming filth in the third circle of Dante's hell, being punished for the sin of gluttony for all eternity. :blank:
