Dutch Priest Suspended
Yes, a Dutch priest was suspended for inappropriate behavior. What did he do? He celebrated mass dressed in orange robes and prayed for the national soccer team The church was decorated with orange flags and the congregation also wore the team's color. They even sang soccer songs during the service. The Diocese has said the priest 'failed to do justice to the holiness of the Eucharist'. Well, at least now we know the kind of offence the church deems serious enough to suspend a priest over.

He should have turned it into an outdoor, festival type of venue, with games of chance, and a blind auction and bake sale, with all the proceeds going to the church. Then it would be over-looked.

I have to admit, Orange is my least favorite color. In fact, I hate it. So I can consider a priest wearing orange to be a reason for suspension. Or anyone wearing orange. For any reason. You can't even make a word that rhymes with Orange ... DOWN WITH ORANGE! DOWN WITH ORANGE! DOWN WI...*cough* sorry.
