There was a newer version being sold on the Shopping Channel in 1980's. IIRC, it was belt-on so you didn't even have to tire yourself out by moving your hands.

@BMN: Shockingly they're still available on the #1 retail website. In fact, there are different versions to choose from. Something for everyone.

Holy cow. So many thoughts jumbling out at once.
• Chance to show cheesecake - wiggling bikini-clad girl.
• Cheesecake, relatively: Is she (how can I say?) not Beauty Pageant pretty, because the little-bit-dumpy gal is the target market, or because she actually passes for Beauty Pageant Pretty for British gals at that time? I denounce myself.
• Shaving while shaking - always a good idea.
• Yes, we all know where "tired businessman" uses the gloves... after shaving.
