ELECTRON BOY

In this day and age a large number of people, strangers, pulling together to give the gift of joy to a dying child could, unfortunately, be called weird. But that's just what happened in Seattle Thursday. Police from three area departments, the Seattle Sounders, Puget Sound Electric and employees, the Space Needle and employees, a Seattle city councilwoman, Make-A-Wish Foundation, and many others, I'm sure, pulled together to make 13 year old Erik Martin's wish come true in a big way. Check the link for details and more pictures. ,

i know this is a bit beyond our normal stuff here at wu. i just had to share it though. i cried while reading the story, what a wonderful thing to do for the boy. bless every one of the people involved, maybe mankind isn't totally useless as a species quite yet. those of you here at wu from seattle, you have one hell of a town!

Once in a while, just as I'm losing faith in humanity, something like this comes along and reminds me that although we are all weird (granted some of us more than others) we can pull together and actually do wonderful things.

While not religious myself I hope if he does pass on and there is a God he is granted heavenly super powers. Surely he deserves wings to fly through the heavens.

If someone donated the printing, would Elektron Boy send signed photos along with a copy of the article? I would gladly bid on such on ebay as a fundraiser for Make A Wish. I can see it matted and framed, hanging in my office.

Go Elektron Boy!
