Because fleas are so fertile, I'm sure only the must successful performers are selected for breeding. In this way the quality of the next generation of performing fleas can be guaranteed.

I remember seeing a "Flea Circus" once when I was a wee lad. Then I learned about how bubonic plague spreads and have never wanted anything to do with the vile little creatures.
