excellent point paul. my sister and i maintained a truce when oue kids were little, i didn't buy noisy toys for her kids and she didn't buy them for mine. grandma on the other hand was not restrained in the same way. :gulp:

Grandparents aren't supposed to be "restrained in any way". They're the ones that make damned sure Johnny and Susy don't end up with only sox and PJs under the tree!

Anyhow, I usually buy books and/or gift certificates at the local book store. B&N;loves me.

my best friend's kids and my daughter would love those gifts expat, my son not so much. it all depends on the child. :coolsmile:
