Housewives wanting vacuum cleaners for Christmas is so very '50s.

In all fairness, the gifts shown for husbands were razors, clocks, and sweaters.

I wonder what one of those little vacuum cleaner models go for in the collectors' market these days. I bet not many were actually given out, and fewer survived. OTOH, appliance models probably aren't all that popular.

Wow!

It is a neat little thing, isn't it. Maybe it was more popular than I thought.

I wonder how many housewives really wanted vacuum cleaners for Christmas...

“Merry Christmas, honey. Now get to work!!”

On the Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman TV show, Garth Gimbel (Martin Mull) gave his wife a mop and bucket for Christmas. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3534440/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl
