And from the 'are you freaking kidding me' file we have a city in Canada that gives out tickets for sitting on the grass in a public park. Surely it is a small fine, a pittance you say? Guess again! (and don't call me Shirley) Its $147.00 for sitting on the grass. They don't charge that hefty of a fine for smoking it here for goodness sakes.

Giving some poor, homeless dude with a speech impediment a $147 ticket for resting his weary bones sounds like a pretty raw deal but those are only Canadian dollars so, in real money, that'd be like $5.74. Right?

@Datdemdar: The "Greek" currency is the Euro. There are $1.37 CAD to a Euro so that would make the $147CAD fine €107.10 or $140.03USD. Unless, of course, the US hasn't invaded the North or Quebec hasn't been kicked out or seceded any of which would have an economic impact and skew the current numbers.
