I'm proud to claim that I've been diaper free for over 62 years now and am looking forward to, yet, another 10 or 15 years before I'll relapse.

I'm sure the organizer of this "event" means well but I can't see it happening without some regrets. Actually it reminds me of some of the "New Age" stuff that comes out of the Left Coast.

How is that any different than usual BD?? 😉

Diaper free, what a dumb idea. You are probably right about its origins too KDP.

Typical obtuse observation from the right wing. I believe the intent of this is to reduce disposable diapers in the local landfill. How can that be a bad thing?

Spoken like a true non parent.

@Rusty: Well, from living-room rug's perspective, pretty shitty!

@patty: How can you make a statement like that without even knowing me? Or was that just another obtuse observation? @Expat: lol, can't argue with that, I guess.

Makes me wish I was in the retail flooring business.

@Rusty, I Think the one making obtuse observations on this subject is NOT Patty!
BTW, If you want to go around calling people obtuse, perhaps you should change your user name to ADMIRAL RUSTY SHACKLEFORD

Since I've made no real observations yet that comment makes little sense. But I did enjoy the link, thanks for that. I'll consider the name change.

If you go to the website, it seems to be about recognizing your baby's "gotta go" signals and sitting him on the potty. My kids were adopted from an orphanage in the former Soviet Union. Since they didn't have diapers, they sat the kids on potties after meals until they went. (I assume the babies who were too young to sit had some other arrangement, perhaps even diapers.) We witnessed some accidents, and since the kids weren't really toilet trained, ours ended up wearing diapers later than typical kids. I'm not saying the website's system ("elimination communication") is bogus, but it's certainly reminiscent of our experience.
