GUINEA PIG WHAT?

image
The horror that is haggis has been rendered , if you can believe it, even more horrifying. A Scottish Chef, consulting with a Peruvian Chef, has doubled down on how gross haggis is already by making it using guinea pigs.

I'm waiting for someone to make the purrrrfect haggis. I'd not think it would be a catastrofy.

One of the 1st things I do when we get to the US is a braunschweiger sandwich with a good tasty mustard.

Braunschweiger is not made of guinea pigs!

Braunschweiger falls under the heading of "Mystery Meat" so, are you REALLY sure about that, Patty?

BD says its like paté, made of liver and I like liver. It was really good, we had some last time we visited. Well, I did, hubby does not eat liver.

Real Braunschweiger (from Braunschweig...) is made with pork, no mystery about it. Though I must say, I have no problem with a decent bit of chunky liver sausage every now and then.

As for haggis, I've had it, and I wasn't grossed out, but I shan't be having it today. With or without squealing horrors. If I were to be invited to a Burns Night supper I wouldn't refuse the haggis, but I won't be searching for it, either. Mind, I live in one of the flattest areas of one of the flattest countries in the world, so both the deisil and widdershins varieties have trouble getting around here.
Guinea pigs, unfortunately, do not - I wouldn't mind trying one of them, roast whole. Bite one of them for a change, instead of they biting me. Nasty beasties, they are.
