Hoberman Arch

Six years have passed since the whole world saw the wonderfully weird portal created by Chuck Hoberman, but it's never too soon to admire it again.

Wouldn't you want a small version of this in your home?

A coworker of mine has an Hoberman Sphere that he keeps in his cube. It's pretty ingenious how it opens and closes. Of course, every time I go in his cube I have to open it all the way and put my head inside, then collapse it on my head. Cool.

I want that for my garage door! Pretty lights included. Maybe a soundtrack too.

I'm imagining something along the lines of the 2010 soundtrack playing while the door opens up and...TADA - there's my Scion. Every morning. It would be awesome.

Really Jules. I would have thought that with your love of animals you would be awaken by mice, dressed by birds, and helped throughout the day by small woodland creatures. 😉

I'm evil in the morning, the only living creatures not afraid of me when I wake up are my cats.

What? You mean you don't have a Hoberman arch in your home, Paul? Ha ha, silly prole! We bourgeois have them in all our homes. I even have one for a doggy-door: it's called the Dobermann arch.

Jessie - Some nice, big sewer rats show up for that?
