Holcombe’s Mechanical Partner

I'd like to see this gadget in action. Unfortunately I can't find any videos of it.

It doesn't seem to have survived past 1954.

Foxtrotting aside, the thing itself is unwieldy. I don't imagine having that much room to spread it out and use it, even more than once. I must imagine also, that the "interested" people weren't interested after one free demo. Further, if I may, the item was soon replaced by Dance Dance Revolution, AMIRITE?
I know, there were a few generations in-between, but my point is, to never shorten an explanation when you have the audience sleeping by this point. Anyway, I would venture to guess that the gentleman's posit: "Men students would never know the smell of a blond instructor's perfume, but Holcombe said that's all for the better." How? Exactly... why? Dancing is a mating ritual, at its basest form.
"Here you see the poor male unable to demonstrate even the Slim Shadiest of moves, due to the Holcombe Device."

I always liked dancing with my girlfriend standing on top of my feet. No danger of stepping on any toes. Of course, the main purpose was to grope.
