Today it would cost 10x that just to get the thing installed and you'd get arrested for sexually harassing who ever you honked it at.

Today you can buy a programmable electronic version that will play any song or sound you want! There was a VW bus on the show circuit for a while built to look like a pig,when they honked the horn it went SSQQUUEEEEEELL!!! It was surprisingly popular with the police! I always felt that the most effective horn possible is a 110 decibel air horn. Not even the most oblivious driver with the stereo dialed up to 11 and talking on a phone would ignore the possibility of being crushed under 80,000 pounds of tractor-trailer.

The original horn on my '39 Plymouth was close to the old Ahouggga horns. I did have one of those and one of the musical jobs on my '73 BMW 2002. If I could find an Ahouggga horn over in Greece I'd put on on the VW because THEY WORK!!!! People get the @#$@#$ out of the way quick!
