The latest Kickstarter weirdness is The Main Drain. It's "an adjustable urinal that attaches to your toilet." It's target market is evidently men who, for one reason or another, really don't want to lift up the toilet seat.
They're hoping to raise $50,000 to start manufacturing the Main Drain. So far they've got $1,604, with over a month to go.

This is a non-starter on so many levels...
1) It's really unsightly.
2) It's at eye level when someone (no names here) is seated
3) It's just something else that someone (no names here either) has to clean
4) It's totally unnecessary for REAL MEN who have their 'house' in order
5) She ain't'a going to approve it!

It's unsanitary. I'm very familiar with that type of tubing (it's widely used for coolant on machine tools). Crud builds up in every joint, and taking it apart isn't exactly fun (each ball and socket snaps apart -- easy to do one, a royal pain to do dozens, and then you have to snap them back together, which is much, much harder).
Also, you shouldn't be be putting ordinary household cleaners down the septic system! Bowl cleaners have to be fairly weak cleaners, which is why you have to let them sit for a long time, so they won't harm septic systems.

It would be smelly and is unsightly. Just learn to aim for God's sakes you have been shooting 2 kinds of ammo with that thing all your life you should acquire some skill eventually.

Two words. Coffee Can. Tried, and true. If it was good enough for the ashes of my dead grandmother, it is definitely perfect for those lazy, drunken afternoons I just don’t feel like leaving the couch. Why go anywhere else? It’s a no-brainer. You just have to get the angle right, stay dry and avoid spillage (that would piss anyone off).
(I'm totally kidding, but this is ridiculous so whatever I’m just jumping on the stupid pisser bandwagon).
