Ian’s Shoelace Site

Ian's Shoelace Site promises that it brings you "the fun, fashion & science of shoelaces". Wondering why your laces keep coming untied? Or maybe you're looking for some new ways to tie your shoes? Ian's is the place for you. There's even a frequently updated page of shoelaces in the news (example: "a hapless burglar was left hanging upside down against a window after trapping a shoe lace during a break-in"), as well as a Shoelace Urban Myth Warning:

It is widely mis-reported that shoelaces were invented by Harvey Kennedy on 27th March 1790. This date is centuries after shoelaces were in common use and is clearly NOT correct.

I find my shoelaces have begun coming undone more and more frequently in the past three years. I believe that the government has put something in our laces which is designed to weaken our resistance to moisture. It's all part of a very complicated scheme, one which I cannot go into detail about on the internet, or else "they" will find me.

Seriously, though, it's hard for me to tie my laces in the morning. One end is usually attached to a cat.

We've already determined that cats are the cause of most haunted house symptoms, I think we can name them the culprits here too.

Laces are good and all, but does this site have any info about bootstraps?
