Why do all these award-winning art installations remind me of what I and my thirteen-year-old buddies used to do with Dad's Super-8 movie camera?

one guy gets a hole in his suit and turns into a monster from exposure to the stuff. there you have it the plot to numerous b sci/fi flicks.

It sounds like this group is using mashed fruit with various top fermenting Ale yeasts (they like it warmer; bottom fermenting Lager yeasts need it to be almost freezing), and they're taking the noise of the CO2 bubbling in the airlocks, run it through envelope generators, Voltage Controlled Amplifiers, Voltage Controlled Filters, and a series of effects including a Ring Modulator & various delays to make these bubbling synth sounds.

The installation has a website that explains that many people in Indonesia go blind or die every year from poorly fermented bootleg booze that's high in Methanol, so they're trying to get people to sterilize their brewing set-ups with this display.
