The tinting of the film is so extensive. It makes me wonder also as to the age of the film.

I've seen Drew Carey feature this stunt on his improvisational comedy shows.

I thought it was pretty clever and well done, given the technology of the day. All the sites say that it was made in 1907, and the guy who did it, Segundo de Chomon (French), worked in that era. I believe that the film was hand-painted.

1907 or 2013, a batch of little squinty eyed little dudes or snowflakes in drag, hand painted or not, laying on a rug or running the film backwards I really don't give a damn! It just wasn't entertaining past 10sec.
