Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah! Too bad Arbitron killed all the good radio disc jockeys. I have two stories of outstanding D.J. from my past:

1) "Doctor" Donald D. Rose. Worked in San Francisco for KFRC, a rock and roll format station in the coveted drive time slot during the late 60's to the mid 70's. Known for a lot of wacky sound effects. Very entertaining.

2 Thomas Mischke. Worked for KSTP in Saint Paul, MN from about 1991 to 2008. He was known for a stream of consciousness program in the 7 to 9 p.m. time slot, where anything could happen. He was at his best doing cold calling to people mentioned in the news or to the advertisers and, depending on who he called, asking a lot of damn fool questions.
