Kenner 1973 Toy Catalog, #11

Recent comments here at WU have speculated on why males like to blow things up. Here's a toy, designed to be destroyed, that helps teach such behavior--or maybe just caters to pre-existing tendencies.

Not sure about any subtext to a VW named "Bugg-em."

Viceman - Probably not much since they were removed from their packaging so don't sweat it!

I had a bunch of these. Probably one of the most used toys I ever had. They crashed up real good!

Viceman - Knowing that, I have tried to buy my son 2 of everything that I think may be collectables one day. Problem is finding space to store the items I have left in their packages. Oh yeah...the another problem is my wife thinking I am nuts.

You're lucky you're already married, Maxx. There's (almost) no bigger turn-off for a woman than walking into some guy's place for the first time and seeing all his "mint in box" toys on shelves along the wall next to his comic book collection. Yikes!

Bikerpuppy - LOL, yeah I saw the 40 year old virgin. Just to clarify, they are not on display but packed in boxes in the tiny crawl space we call an attic.

Viceman - are you saying I should just open up the toys and start playing?

You should play, Maxx. Play!

I had a smash-up Derby car! I loved that thing until I lost all the smash-offable pieces.
