I would like to know if the authorities had managed to get the first car out of the way, or if the truck careened into both tree and previous victims. And to be honest, I don't know which is worse.

Or maybe the truck driver fell asleep at the wheel, the truck crossed a whole line of traffic and managed to hit the tree from the other side.
