Not exactly the demographic of employees (or the enthusiasm level) I usually see there.

Now there is something I haven't seen in years. There are three actors in there who have familiar faces - the manager, the one with the line about his "clean burger machine", and the one with the line about "scrubbing from bottom to top". Unfortunately I couldn't tell you their names to save my life.

The ad campaign was run constantly when it was on, and as kids we had our parody lyric:

You deserve to live today,
So get up and run away,
From McDonalds.

The tall, "clean burger machine" guy was Robert Ridgely. He played "The Colonel" in "Boogie Nights" (about the porn industry). He died in 1997 -- right before the movie came out, I think.

Back when this was playing on TV, I remember at one of our local McDonalds' some vandal threw a brick through the window. It had a note tied to it saying, "You deserve a brick today."

That would depend on the how good of workers the people who work there are Ty.

This was, obviously, made back when white folks weren't afraid of getting a "job" instead of requiring a "position" reflecting their years of suffering academia to get that PhD in 18th century French literature.

Hey, just thought of the you tube vid of some teen employee taking a bath in the sink at BK.
