Made by Hudson (not the moll, the car). Wikipedia says "The 1933 Essex-Terraplane 8-cylinder cars were believed to have the highest horsepower-to-weight ratio of any production automobiles in the world, and were favored by several gangsters of the day, particularly John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, and John Paul Chase."

I wonder what the gimmick was. According to the clock, I once stayed awake over 100 hours (stress test), but I was missing bits and pieces towards the end -- I'm pretty sure they only thought I was awake when I was actually power napping with my eyes open.

When much younger, about twice a year I'd drive from Omaha to Reno in one straight shot (close to 24 hours) and couldn't have gone much farther without being a danger to myself and others. That was on good roads and timed to miss most traffic (nowadays, it's pushing my limit to make it from Nashville to Sioux City).

Ain't enough caffeine in the world to keep me on the road for a hundred hours. And I have to wonder how she hit the head when handcuffed to the steering wheel.

Benzedrine and a siphon hose running through the floor boards is all you need.
