Answer:

They're all slang words for LSD, according to a recently unclassified Drug Enforcement Agency intelligence report labeled "Drug Slang Code Words."

The report includes terms for a variety of drugs besides LSD. For instance, it tells us that slang words for marijuana include Smoochy Woochy Poochy and Bambalachacha. Pseudonyms for cocaine include flea market jeans, crusty treats, and California pancakes.

As soon as I saw Owsley, I knew what the list was. I had the privilege of experiencing his product when I lived in San Francisco back in my hippie days. To this list, I would add Orange Sunshine, Mr. Natural, and Windowpane, and there are certainly others I haven't thought about in decades.

Smoochy Woochy Poochy? C'mon. They're asking for names from every random perp they collect, and half of those are making up stuff to goof on them.

By the way, it's "blue cheer," not "blue chair." Ha.

I have a tough time imagining a heavily tattooed MS13 member negotiating a shipment of "Smoochy Woochy Poochy" across the border. An AMUSING time, but a tough time nonetheless.

Virtual -- the DEA report lists both "blue cheer" AND "blue chair". Just in case you thought it was me making that kind of rookie error.

Not for a minute, Alex. I figured it was some DEA straight arrow.

There are some pretty unappealing names in the LSD list. Beside Battery Acid, there's Black Acid (mixed with PCP), Backbreaker (mixed with strychnine), Spit & Die.

What's up with the omission of Orange Sunshine? The program recently on History Channel said it was everywhere; it was the purest strain ever produced, outside the original LSD 25. In a few months in 1968, the lab in Calif made 10 million hits of Orange Sunshine.

The "Blue Chair" may just be "Blue Cheer" spoken by someone from Texas. They make one syllable words often into two syllable words, and often make "ee" sound like "ay-" often (cheer = chay-r = chair). My grandmother was from Texas; and when I was a child visiting I remember her asking me to turn on the lay-mp when it was getting dark.
