Nano Printing

The Vienna University of Technology has perfected the ability to produce 3D structures the size of a grain of sand like the one above. These tiny replicas are made using highly focused light beams and resin. The process is called Two Photon Lithography and the detail is amazing. Can't wait to see the practical applications for this.

How cool! Another step towards replicators.

They did a bike with 3D printing to show some of what the process could do. One of the cooler features was fully sealed bearings that need no lubricating. The process is so groundbreaking people haven't really even thought of some of the stuff it can do.

The work on some of them is grainy. (Get it? sand - grainy)

Nanobots for your bloodstream. Sounds good in SF, but less good from an experimental point of view. We'll just inject you with these nanobots. We're pretty sure they won't malfunction...

Where's the fun in that? The little dudes may get high on the oxygenated blood and start partying.

If possible, as you gain expertise, would you mind updating your blog with more information? It is extremely helpful for me

YO! Janice! As YOU gain expertise....maybe in learning how to navigate the internet, for starters, you would learn how to click on the highlighted LINKS, in this case, as YOU gain expertise, you will see that the link is "Two Photon Lithography", then, as YOU gain expertise, you will see that you will be taken to a page that gives you tons more information on the subject, as YOU gain expertise, Janice. <<whew!>>
p.s. This blog has over 13 million views, how many does yours have, Janice?
