That is just tragic. A relative of mine suffered a similar loss, her boy jumped off a highway overpass into the traffic below. They suspected a med change caused him to be depressed. The loss of a child is something you never really get over.

This is one of those posts where I just can't find any funny inside.

I don't want to make light of a young girls death, but a brother and i would sometimes fight over who would take out the trash. Not because it was a chore to avoid, but because we both wanted to be the one that set it on fire!

This was actually my cousin. I wasn't born when this happened but there's more to the story than this. I'm actually not very happy to see this on this site, it's not funny. This was very traumatic for my family. We had a family member who dreaded Valentine's Day because that's when she died.

I am sorry for your loss, but this was pulled from a news article so it was already published. Also, no one who commented, including Alex who posted the story, made light of your cousin's suicide. It was a tragedy and I am sure one chore was not the only catalyst for her action, things are rarely that simple. Lastly, this was 31 years ago and it is a weird story and so fair game for this site. Every story we put up effects someone somewhere. There was no offense meant and no disrespect displayed to the girl or your family. Sorry if you were a bit surprised to find it here.

I guess the part up top where it says "she threw her life away" offended me. It seemed like a pun for throwing out the trash then committing suicide, almost like making it into a joke. I don't think I'd be offended if that part wasn't there.
