Why is it always a parrot, rather than some other kind of pet bird, at the center of these disputes? A recent case in Rhode Island involved a lawsuit against a parrot taught to swear at neighbors.

I've listened to parrots of all sizes and not a few canaries and, just between you and me, I'll take a noisy canary over a noisy parrot any day.

I think he showed some restraint -- a man in Florida (where else?) bit the head off someone's parrot. (Google: Lt. Bruce Coates)

Torture by parrot is a well-established practice. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/04/22/chicago-s-crybaby-killer-i-don-t-want-to-do-bad-no-more.html

My thinking -- so many parrots, so few recipes.

Thank God it was not a crying baby! So if there is construction on his street is he going to vandalize the equipment or shoot the workers? Dude needs some earplugs and a nerve pill. Tyrusguy, care to weigh in on the habits of parrots?

My Amazon parrot was pretty noisy at times, but no amount of pleading would get her to be quiet. I usually just put her back in her cage and put the cover over it. After a minute she would be reduced to saying "hello?"

Too bad the story isn't clear as to where the parrot was located when Diamond did the deed.
