PETA Pilgrims

PETA envisions a meatless Mars. They are suggesting the idea to SpaceX, a company that wants to be the first to put people on Mars. Sounds like a good fit, a bunch of out of this world nuts actually going out of this world.

Wouldn't it be ironic if they went to mars and found hostile and hungry life there and THEY BECAME THE MEAT!!!!

@girlgenius

I have never been a fan of the "meat farm" animal factories. I am a hunter and I also don't believe in trophy hunting. Even if we consummate carnivores had to eat less meat (SHUDDER) I would support more humane methods of raising it.

But like all organizations, PETA has it's radical element. And they are the ones I aim my barbs at.

I don't have a problem with how others see the food chain but when the radicals start throwing blood at innocent people just because they are wearing fur I draw the line.

The old joke goes, "why don't the PETA people throw blood on leather wearers too" and the answer is "because bikers are much harder to intimidate than little old ladies.

So I am sorry if you took a hit for the radical element of you cause, but that is how life works. My apologies for offending you personally but my opinions of the radical members of PETA still stands.

Our girlgenius always has nice things to say, even the above critism was gentle and polite. I agree about animals being treated decent, but I also agree with Yogi's response about the radical element of PETA. There are some in every group, look at the NRA. I agree about the right to gun ownership but when you start talking about full auto machine guns and armor piercing rounds you lose my support. As far as bacon, no of course you don't have to love bacon to be here sweetie, just not get too offended because the majority of us carnivores do.

@GG: As I understand it this site is dedicated to the weird and I think most of us will agree that PETA is weird so you are (and have been) in good company as far as I'm concerned.

That said: The gods gave me canine teeth and I plan on using them before the dentist gets them!

I understand that it takes 7x the grain to raise a pound of beef and the abundance of piggy-poo is becoming a problem so, yea, something is going to have to give but why aren't I hearing more about population control which, underneath it all, is the problem.
