Some convenience stores here have signs saying they won't accept cash carried in bras. I imagine it can get pretty nasty. What would sweat do to a phone? (Even if the compartment is waterproof, if it's open at the top, some will dribble in.)

ges, I was raised by two older sisters, and I've been married three times -- I can assure you in no uncertain terms that women sweat. They also belch, break wind, and sometimes have breath that could stun a horse.
