Is Bigfoot a protected species in New York state? Chautauqua Lake Bigfoot Expo spokesman Peter Wiemer thinks so. Cool slide show of Bigfoot pic at the link.

Good to know that Bigfoot "science" is still alive and kicking.

On a semi-related note, you can find some intentionally/unintentionally funny taxidermy fails/weirdness from that huffpo page at http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/22/hilariously-bad-taxidermy-facebook-badly-stuffed-animals_n_2003494.html#slide=1407871.

In the early 90s, Jim Baum, a farmer in King County, Washington, found most of his land had been designated as native habitat for Bipedus giganticus (aka Bigfoot).

When King County officials were interviewed on CBS Evening News, they didn't offer up a reason for it being on the county's endangered species list, but they also didn't remove it.

Reminds me of the uproar and attempts to ban dihydrogen monoxide.

If Nessy is alive and well (I have a photo!) then I have to believe in Big Foot.

@Phideax: You may think Big Foot is just a legend but, I know for a fact, that dihydrogen monoxide can kill people! Every year, here in Greece, people succumb to its insidious invasion of their bodies!
