Rabbit Pizza

New Zealand's Hell Pizza is introducing rabbit pizza just in time for Easter. And they're advertising it with billboards covered in rabbit skins. To make the pizza, they combine the rabbit meat with spiced beetroot and horopito relish, and then add pine nuts and cream cheese as toppings. Hell Pizza says it's a "beautiful subtle flavor". I've had rabbit but really don't care for it. I'd rather watch them run around and play in the yard and woods out back. It's funny when they seem to be playing reverse leap frog.

Last fall I found a nest of babies in a covered hole in the middle of the back yard. I read they do that. Kinda like reverse psychology. Hide them in the open. I made sure to mow around them until the hole was empty.

P.S. We have 1 inch of snow today.

Buy two, store them together, and in nothing flat you can open your own restaurant.

I'll bet P.E.T.A. is hopping mad about this!

I wonder if sales are jumping?

How fur will some businesses go to sign up new customers.

The reverse leap frog is part of their mating dance ritual. We have a veritable bunny "swingers club" in the yard right now and I soon expect to be seeing nests here and there. Last year they got so bold, they wouldn't even run away from the dog.

Doesn't sound good to me. Like BD, I'd much rather watch them play. He has a wonderful yard full of wildlife. Looking out the patio door there is like watching the nature channel on a very big screen tv.

They're an imported and invasive species here. DOC (the Department of Conservation) spends millions every year on controlling them, much like possums. They do incalculable amounts of damage to native bush and hence native species.

So don't feel sorry for NZ rabbits. :p

@Sebastian: Just don't eat the NZ Easter Bunny :cheese: 😝
Now hop to it and get your Mrs some expensive chocolates.

I like me some bunny. We had a pet one once that I had to put back in his cage because he was about to do unspeakable things to one of the cats. Didn't get to eat him, though.
