Ranger Rick

Is Ranger Rick more ghastly and scary than Woodsy Owl? Your call!

You just know, of course, when he's seated at that computer he's surfing for furry porn.

Did the old dude in the first admit to plagiarizer the concept? And that young whipper-snapper in the 3rd clip wasn't born when bugs & mice were found and invented.

All in all..... I'd put this tree hugging, meddling, money grabbing outfit on the same level as the rest of them.

Oh... To answer your question, Paul, yup! Having some masked night raider as your mascot may not project the image you were hoping for if you're actually interested in teaching kids about wild life.

Ranger Rick, Smokey Bear, Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny - they are all creepy in their own ways. And they gladly take your money by taxes or toy products.

I like the dig about the furry porn.

You try to lump Jessica into that bunch and there's going to be more than wind swoopin' down the plain!

(Were you quaking in your boots?)

What is with you guys and furry porn? Take one innocent piece of an actor in a suit and you have to make something perverted out of it? Glad none of you live anywhere near my kid. People that obsessed by something have much deeper issues. I suggest you all get counseling. Or get yourselves arrested. Either would be good.

@Jim: By any chance do you know what a "furry" is? If not, you need to go aGoogling.

'Tis not We at WU who have first sexualized characters in fur-bedecked costumes, but the furry tribe themselves. We do but report and conjecture along established lines.

Jim's lament has brought tears of laughter to me eyes.
