Hay, just this summer when the wife and I were touring Ireland (photos here) I saw a leprechaun down the street. I ran after it and caught it by the leg just like you're supposed to. It kept yelling that it wasn't a leprechaun (but you know how they lie) and struggling hard to get away. While I was trying to figure out just HOW I was going to be able to smuggle it onto the airplane to get it home the wife caught up with me and made me turn her loose! 😠

@BD: First of all, I had a glass of Irish Whiskey that cost me €30. Twas a song upon my tongue and a poem in my throat. I've had some of "the good stuff" before but NEVER like that one glass.
Ok.. Until we went to Ireland, The Scottish Highlands were #1 on my list of places to see. The best thing about the trip to the Highlands was the day we spent at a county's Highland Games. Just plain folks with family in tow enjoying themselves in friendship & camaraderie. Of course, the land was magical and I found that the pipes called me like no music before had ever done. Vistas and scenes opened before us that no camera (well, maybe Ansel Adams') could capture, but I tried. I even got a genuine, authentic photo of Nessie. Honest!
No, I didn't try the whiskey there as I don't like Scotch and the food.... well, best take your own lunch when you go. But the beer was cold so not all was lost.
