She Finally Got Her Moose
On a recent hunting trip, Laura Wood successfully killed a moose with a single shot. What makes this weird is that she's 95 years old. Good for her, but not so good for the moose. I wonder if she's the oldest person ever to have killed a moose? [thestar.com]

When I lived in Minnesota, a moose or two would come down the Mississippi River valley during the tail end of summer when the rut was on and appear in the Twin Cities area. They are such ill-tempered creatures that people were warned not to make contact. And sure enough, one or two people would make the news when they were stomped to within an inch of their lives.
