Looks almost as good as "Laserblast" another Golden Turkey from about the same era - kid picks up weird pulsating object he finds out in the woods on a dark night and then the fun begins.
Unfortunately I've never seen this one in the bargain bin but I do have to ask, were any of the characters wearing red shirts?
