I want to see a Weird Universe reader grow this as a houseplant. Order your seedling here.

I think my parents have one of those outside their house.

In Costa Rica, they call these things (or a frighteningly similar plant)'Poor Man's Umbrella'.

kelby: Not sure if they are imported or not, but Florida has ton of elephant ears. Not that big of course. The one in my parents yard is abut as tall as a full sized pick-up.

We sell these, not quite as big (about 5' tall, leaves about 24"x18", at the hardware store I work at in San Francisco.

Unfortunately, as long as it passes quarantine for pests or blight, there is no restriction about bringing (non-endangered) plants into the US.

I'm sorry, I have to say it, I can't take it anymore. To Mark in Califo, look, I understand that writing that way is helpful when you are texting... but when you do it with a normal keyboard, you look like a dumbass. Sorry everyone, I had to get that off my chest
