Terry Pratchett’s Colour of Magic

In celebration of my recent minor literary milestone, I have decided to share a bit of weirdness from one of my favorite authors, Terry Pratchett. For those of you familiar with the Discworld series, I'm sure you know where I'm going with this. The very first novel in the Discworld series, which takes place on the back of a giant turtle floating through space, was made into a live action movie. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the official trailer to 'Colour of Magic.'

Mohawk, what literary milestone might that be? Sounds like congratulations may be in order, maybe?

I've been wanting to see this for a while now. In my head I've always pictured Rincewind as much younger and scruffier looking.

Would your minor literary milestone happen to be having read every single Terry Pratchett book? I've read all of the Discworld novels, but some of Pratchett's early books are very hard to find.

katie and bill our own wonderful mw shared with us on another thread his important literary achievement. he recently completed the final, polished draft of the first chapter of his own sci/fi fantasy novel. he's working on the book as well as looking for a publisher and/or agent. we are all so proud of him and can't wait to read his completed, published work. maybe when he is a famous author he'll come back and say hi to us here at wu. perhaps even to post occational excerpts from his best sellers!
love ya sweetie!

Hot dog, Mohawk! Congratulations! Don't overlook the new and quite versatile "Publishing On Demand" businesses. Only print what you have orders for, and a case or four for the reviewers and signings. I know some artists who might be interested in taking a look, as does Paul (I believe)... myself included.

I'd love to see some of the watch books turned into movies. I've just about given up all hope on ever seeing a major motion picture version of "Good Omens" at this point, but I'd settle for a TV movie version of that, as well.

I've always wished I could write a novel, but I'm just not focused enough to accomplish something as major as that. My preferred medium for artistic expression is cake. When I get bored with a piece, I just eat it.
