Makes me think of the bad man characters in "The Villain", an underrated cowboy movie spoof. Starred Ann-Margret, "Ahnold" Schwarzenegger and Kirk Douglas. Sort of a live version of the Warner Brothers Roadrunner cartoons.

I'll betch'a they were made of paper.

Looks like a sissy cowboy to me. No self-respecting boy would be caught dead in it. But it looks like a better deal than the cowgirl outfit, in terms of dollars/sq foot of material.

@RobK: No... "cowboys" back then were pretty flamboyant of dress. I had a pair of pony-hide chaps that was along the lines of what's being shown here.

It looks a bit like something the Mariachis would wear.

The twelve feet of "Cowboy-style rope" sounds pretty worrying, from a modern-day safety standpoint.

Uhh...it's about the hairdo on the right. Was she a cancer patient? Or just eighty years old? (No haters please: When my wife went through chemo I loved her naked head!)

Hairdo - I see a pony tail hanging over her left shoulder?

BMN, enlarge the picture, she looks partially bald. Bad picture, but the best artists are not doing commercial art.

@Scot, ...even after we untied her Suzie still refused to ever babysit the boys again.

Where's the hat? Where's the cowboy hat? No cowboy outfit is complete without a cowboy hat! Liars!

The small print says it's all made of "vinal." Which only adds to the visual impression that this is some sort of sick kiddie fetish gear.

Alright... they did use REALLY thin sheets of printed plastic for costumes. Think thick garment bags.

Uh oh, suffocation risk! Good thing those were from before society turned so litigious.

That and we were prone to intelligence.

Yeah, I never felt the urge to stick a plastic bag over my head. I like breathing too much, even as a child.

I found myself reading the list of included items in Slim Picken's voice.

"One Gen-U-Wine Texas Ranger Mask"...

My oldest brother got one of these for xmas one year. I think it was Monte Montana though, not a texas ranger. Just about the same style though. By the time it got handed down to me, all that was left was a gun and holster, and the gun wouldn't shoot caps anymore (I think mom liked it that way).
